Terms of Service
By installing and using the Contradeck application ("App", "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using the Service.
1. What is Contradeck
Contradeck is a tool that detects inconsistencies between a Shopify store's published policies (return policy, shipping policy) and the store's actual configuration (shipping zones, rates, Klaviyo email templates). The Service calculates an indicative Risk Score and presents suggested corrections.
2. Limitation of liability
Contradeck provides information and alerts based on automated heuristics. The Service does not guarantee:
- The absence of chargebacks, disputes, or customer claims;
- The legal compliance of your policies with any jurisdiction;
- The absence of false positives or false negatives in detections;
- Uninterrupted availability of the Service.
Under no circumstances shall Contradeck or its collaborators be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to revenue losses, chargebacks, or business decisions made based on the App's alerts.
The maximum liability of Contradeck in any case is limited to the amount paid by the user in the last month of service.
3. Not legal advice
Contradeck is not a legal service. The correction suggestions presented by the App are operational in nature - they do not constitute, and should not be interpreted as, legal, accounting, or any other regulated professional advice.
For legal compliance questions, consult a lawyer specialised in e-commerce in your jurisdiction.
4. Data and privacy
To provide the Service, Contradeck accesses and stores:
- HTML content of your published policies (read via Shopify API);
- Shipping zones and rate configuration (read via Shopify API);
- Product inventory levels and pricing (read via Shopify API);
- Klaviyo email templates (Pro plan only, read via Klaviyo API);
- Scan results and detected inconsistencies (stored in a secure database).
Data is stored on Supabase servers (EU region). We do not share data with third parties beyond the infrastructure providers required to operate the Service. Your Shopify access token is stored in encrypted form.

5. Plans and payments
Both Starter ($9.99/month) and Pro ($29/month) plans include a 3-day free trial. After the trial, billing is monthly via Shopify App Billing - payment processing is the exclusive responsibility of Shopify.
You may cancel either plan at any time from Shopify Admin → Apps → Contradeck. Access to paid features ends at the conclusion of the current billing period.
6. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. When we do, we update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after new Terms are published constitutes acceptance of those Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email with at least 14 days' notice.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service in the event of a breach of these Terms, abusive use, or for operational reasons with 30 days' notice, except in cases of serious breach where termination may be immediate.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lisbon, Portugal.
